Job Title: Campground Host
Location: Anderson Lake near D’Arcy, BC
Type: Seasonal - 12 to 18 weeks (~May to September)
Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week (flexible based on campground needs)
Wage: $25/hour
Accommodations: An unserviced campsite for RV, van, or similar will be provided free of charge. Other arrangements are possible including use of a high-quality 16-foot wide canvas glamping tent.
About The Sanctum: The Sanctum is an off-grid campground resort located in the serene wilderness of Anderson Lake, British Columbia. The Role: As the Campground Host, you are integral to ensuring our guests enjoy a remarkable, comfortable, and unique experience. You will embody The Sanctum's ethos in promoting a comfortable, but naturally wild stay.
Responsibilities:
Provide warm, welcoming assistance to guests, ensuring a comfortable and memorable stay.
Check guests in and out of campsites including turn-over of glamping stays.
Perform daily maintenance tasks, including cleaning outhouses and overall campground upkeep.
Enforce fire bans and advocate for bear-safe camping practices.
Manage and operate the wood-fired sauna, cold plunge tubs, and wood-fired hot tubs.
Assist guests with rentable items like propane fire pits, battery packs, and other equipment.
Respond efficiently to emergencies.
Occasionally watering of plants.
Enhance the guest experience through care and conversation.
Qualifications:
Age range: 20 to 40 years.
Experience in off-grid living and camping.
Physically fit for diverse outdoor tasks.
Previous experience with campsite hosting or workamping is highly desirable.
Post-secondary education in hospitality or related fields is highly desirable.
Ability to lead yoga, meditation, or breathwork sessions is highly desirable.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Self-sufficient and adept at problem-solving in remote settings.
First Aid certification is highly valued.
